Cocendo Social Engine™ | Infrastructure for Everyday Impact

Cocendo Social Engine™

Turning Everyday Commerce Into Verified Student Support — Designed for CRA Compliance.

Cocendo Social Engine™ is a Canadian‑built, dignity‑first system that transforms ordinary spending into pre‑funded, measurable impact. It empowers merchants, brands, institutions, and communities to participate in a national coalition — one where every transaction strengthens local economies, supports students, and fuels long‑term opportunity.

Cocendo is not a discount app, donation platform, or loyalty program. It is infrastructure: a transparent, compliance‑driven engine that enables coalitions to create real impact without friction, complexity, or reputational risk.

How It Works

Cocendo connects merchants, brands, and institutions through a secure, rules‑based engine that allocates a small portion of everyday transactions toward community benefit.

  • PFAM (Pre‑Funded Advertising Model): Brands and merchants pre‑fund impact as part of their marketing spend.
  • Agent Capacity: Cocendo acts as agent for the Gordon L. Diewert Foundation. The $1.00 portion is remitted in full to the charity and is not income to Cocendo.
  • Strengthen Local Economies: Encouraging shop‑local behaviour while funding student support.
  • Zero Operational Burden: Merchants and partners participate without friction or added complexity.
  • Transparent Reporting: Every PFAM dollar, Charity Point, and voucher is tracked and verified.

CRA Compliance & Governance

Accurate Agency Model

The $1.00 portion is collected by Cocendo in its capacity as agent for the Diewert Foundation and remitted in full. The Foundation retains full direction and control over its use.

Commercial Service Clarity

Merchants are purchasing a commercial service (customer engagement and coalition visibility). No part of the fee constitutes a charitable gift, and therefore no donation receipt is issued.

Direction and Control

All student support is awarded based on objective, need‑based criteria established and administered solely by the Diewert Foundation in collaboration with eligible post‑secondary institutions.

Corporate Giving Standards

As a Canadian corporation, Cocendo may claim charitable deductions for donations up to 75% of its net income, in accordance with CRA rules.

A Movement Rooted in Dignity

At its core, Cocendo Social Engine™ is about dignity — ensuring support is delivered in a way that respects the people it serves and the partners who make it possible.

The system avoids hierarchy, avoids spotlighting donors, and avoids creating divisions. Instead, it unites Canadians around a shared belief: everyday commerce can build a more equitable future.
